Today the 5th chakra or Vishudda which belongs to the area of the throat, the voice........different shades of blue are the primary colour and the secundary colour are orange shades. There are 16 elements.The most important life area's are communication and creativity.On the internet you can find more info if you like.

Heart chakra, 4th, Anahata- hart chakra 4e

Today the 4th chakra, the heart chakra or 'Anahata'......in Sanskriet. I've made this one in 2002 when I was in France.....I was staying there with some special people in a beautiful surrounding. It was during a difficult time in my life and I had an appartment for myself in the mountains of France. 

The number of elements is 12 and the main colour is green, all shades of green. The secundairy colour is pink.....

This chakra is located on the sternum zoch, heart region. Anahata means: invulnerable, soft and balanced. This chakra is the center of the chakrasystem. It's here where lower and higher energy meets.... You can encounter wholeness, balance in feeling for life, peace of heart. the heart is the center of Love. Well till so far my explaining......

Vandaag het 4e chakra, het hartchakra of 'Anahata' in Sanskriet. Ik heb deze gemaakt in 2002 toen ik in Frankrijk was.....Ik verbleef daar bij bijzondere mensen in een prachtige omgeving. Het was tijdens een moeilijke periode in mijn leven en ik had een appartement voor mezelf in de bergen van Frankrijk.

Het nummer is 12 van de elementen is 12 en de hoofdkleur is groen, alle tinten groen. De secundaire kleur is roze....

Het chakra bevindt zich op het borstbeen, bij de hartstreek. Anahata betekent: onkwetsbaar, fris , evenwichtig. Dit chakra is het centrum van ons chakrasysteem, hier komen de lagere energieen en hogere samen. Op deze plek kun je heelheid ervaren, evenwicht in levensgevoel, vrede in je hart. Het hart vormt het centrum van liefde. Tot zover mijn uitleg........

Today I show you the drawing of the 3rd chakra or Solarplexus or the Sanskriet name 'Manipura'. It's connected to the primary yellow colour and the complementary colour is purple. The number of elements is 10. At this time I ended the first mandala course we were just starting with this one so I have only one to show......

Vandaag laat ik je de tekening zien van het derde chakra of Zonnevlecht of de Sanskriet naam 'Manipura'. Het is verbonden met de primaire gele kleur en de secundaire of complementaire kleur is paars . Het getal van de elementen is 10. Op dat moment stopte ik met de eerste mandala cursus en we begonnen net met deze dus hier heb ik er maar een van.

I only want to mention some of the aspects of this chakra and for the ones who are interested ....just google for it.

- the third chakra is located at the height of your diaphragm

- it is the source of the life's energy and creativity and the seat of the power of will

- it is the 'I am' power

- this creative energy can be inspired by the aspirations or ideals of the higher self or they may be purely  dominated by personal power or ego

Ik wil alleen nog de kenmerken van dit chakra benoemen en voor degenen die geinteresseerd zijn ....google gewoon even.....

- het derde chakra bevindt zich op de hoogte van het middenrif net iets boven de navel

- het is de bron van levens energie en creativiteit en de zetel van de wil

- het is de 'IK BEN' kracht

- deze creatieve energie kan geinspireerd worden door dromen en idealen van het Hoger zelf of ze kunnen gedomineerd worden door persoonlijke macht of ego

Well after the first ones the 2nd ones will follow, here they are......primary colour ORANGE and secundary colour BLUE........the number of elements are 6.

Beneath the first one I draw..it all has to do with 'going with the flow' and that again  has to do with 'trust' and 'surrender to'.....

Zo na de eerste tekeningen volgen de tweede, hier zijn ze....primaire kleur is ORANJE en de secundaire kleur BLAUW.........het getal van de elementen 6.

Hier beneden de eerste die ik tekende ....het heeft alles te maken met 'meegaan met de beweging' of 'stromen'......en dat heeft weer alles te maken met 'vertrouwen'en 'overgave'......

from the 'Mandala' phase- uit de Mandala periode

It's been a while and I thought of the time I was busy drawing mandala's. It's so very nice to do and of course there is a therapeutic thought behind it but I believe that is always a side- effect of creating and playing with patterns, colours and movements.......

I joined several  mandala courses from a very lovely lady and it was a time when I was having a difficult time in life.......which does return very often......LOL but as you can read I can laugh about it too.....

Our mandala teacher had always turned our 'classroom' into the sphere of the particular chakra we were working on......so in this case there was a lot of red, a certain smell of essence and music. We always started with a relaxation and visualization exercise in which we took a 'walk' in our imaginary colour 'garden'.  

These drawings are based on the chakra's and to each chakra belongs a number of elements, and a certain colour combination  and with those facts you can play and give your own interpretation. I followed the chakra mandala course two times because I did not finish the 1st one and wanted to complete all chakra's. So you see here a 1st one and a 2nd one for the first chakra.

Het is weer even geleden en ik dacht aan de tijd dat ik bezig was met mandala tekenen. Het is zo fijn om te doen en natuurlijk zit er een therapeutische gedachte achter maar ik geloof dat dat zo ie zo een werking is van het creatieproces en het spelen met structuren, kleuren en beweging........

Ik volgde diverse mandala cursussen bij een heel lieve vrouw en het was tijdens een loeilijke tijd in mijn leven.......wat nogal eens voorkomt....LOL.....maar zoals je leest kan ik er ook nog om lachen....

Onze mandaladocente toverde de ruimte in een sfeer die paste bij het betreffende chakra waar we mee werkten.....dus in dit geval was een heleboel rood, een bepaalde geur en muziek. We begonnen altijd met een ontspannings en visualisatie oefening waar we een 'wandeling'maakten in onze denkbeeldige kleuren tuin.

Deze tekeningen zijn gebaseerd op de chakra's en bij elk chakra behoort een bepaald aantal van elementen en een bepaalde kleuren combinatie en met dit gegeven kun je spelen en je eigen interpretatie geven. Ik volgde de chakra mandala cursus twee keer omdat ik de eerste niet afgemaakt had en ik toch alle chakra's wilde voltooien. Dus hier zie je een eerste en een tweede 1e chakra.

As you can see this 1st chakra has 4 elements, the colour red is the basic colour and green it's supplementary colour. This chakra is the basic one, it stands for grounding as also the number 4. You can play with all shades of reds and greens ......whatever you feel attracted to at that moment.

Chakra 1 (at the bottom of the spine):The power of the 1st chakra determines the amount of physical energy a person has and the intention to live in the fysical reality. This chakra is also important for a good physical health. A person with a well balanced 1st chakra  clearly lives in the here and now.(from an internet site)

Zoals je kunt zien heeft dit chakra 4 elementen, de kleur rood is de basiskleur en groen zijn supplementaire kleur. Dit chakra is de basis, het staat voor aarding net als het getal 4. Je kunt met alle tinten rood en groen spelen....... waartoe je je aangetrokken voelt op dat moment.

Chakra 1 (bij stuitcentrum): De kracht van de eerste chakra bepaalt de hoeveelheid fysieke energie die iemand heeft en de wil om in de fysieke werkelijkheid te leven. Daarnaast is de eerste chakra ook belangrijk voor een goede fysieke gezondheid. Een persoon met een gezonde eerste chakra is duidelijk in het ‘hier en nu’ aanwezig.

 Well, colour my words with your own thoughts and feelings and maybe you are inspired to just draw a circle and start colouring, no need for difficult patterns......just play......

Zo, kleur mijn woorden en tekeningen maar met je eigen gedachten en gevoelens en misschien ben je geinspireerd om gewoon eens een cirkel te tekenen en te kleuren, je hoeft geen moeilijke patronen te gebruiken.......gewoon spelen.....

Water colour paintings.........

Some time ago I've made this painting with water colour technique wet in wet and with use of aquapasto. I've called it 'to the Light' but you can pick your own thing out of it..... I really love to work wet in wet because you don't know where it will end or how it end up at least I don't....... it's now hanging somewhere hanging in the house of an old friend. The photo is not perfect because it's a photo from a photo.

Enige tijd geleden maakte ik deze aquarel met de nat in nat techniek en met gebruik van aquapasto. Het heet 'naar het Licht' maar je kan er je eigen ding uit halen....... ik hou erg van de nat in nat techniek want je weet nooit precies waar het eindigt of hoe het wordt althans ik niet......het hangt nu ergens in het huis van een oude vriend. De foto is niet perfect omdat het een foto is van een foto.

Ik heb diverse aquarellen gemaakt met deze techniek die ik geleerd heb van Bep Roggeveen, mijn voormalig lerares. Zij heeft weer les gehad van Bob Tomanovic, een van mijn favouriete kunstenaars. Hij heeft een eigen website dus als je geinteresseerd bent, neem een kijkje en geniet van zijn mooie kunstwerken! Je kunt ook een kijkje nemen op de website van Bep Roggeveen  en ik weet zeker dat je deze stijl zult herkennen.

I made several paintings with this technique that I learned from Bep Roggeveen, my former teacher. She has been taught by Bob Tomanovic, one of my favourite painters. He has his own website so if you are interested, take a look and be amazed by his talent! You can also take a look on the blog/website of Bep Roggeveen and I am sure you can recognize this style.

Above you can see another one with the same technique and is called 'Icy'.......also a photo made from a photo so the quality is far from perfect.......

Hierboven nog een andere met dezelfde techniek en is genaamd  'IJzig' .....ook een foto van een foto dus geen perfecte kwaliteit........

Today an aquarel painting which I have made in the period my father was already ill and knew he was going to leave this world.........I always thought he saw the 'Light' in this painting......and that it was of a comfort to him. He was a spiritual man and believed in eternal life, so he was not afraid to go. He could see it from his bed that stood in the living room. It has been already 17 years ago and  I still miss him.......but I know he is in a much better world now and one day we will meet again!
I want to share a beautiful poem with you...... I really hope one day it will be created in a rubber stamp!

To those who I love and those who love me

 Hallo allemaal,

Vandaag een schilderij dat ik ooit voor mijn vader heb gemaakt in de tijd dat hij al ziek was en wist dat hij deze wereld ging verlaten.........ik heb altijd gedacht dat hij het 'Licht' in dit schilderij kon zien en dat het hem een fijn gevoel gaf. Hij kon het zien vanuit zijn bed dat in de woonkamer stond. Hij was een spirituele man en geloofde in het eeuwige leven. Hij was dan ook niet bang om dood te gaan. Het is alweer 17 jaar geleden maar er zijn momenten dat ik hem nog steeds erg mis....maar ik weet dat hij in een betere wereld is........en dat we elkaar weer zullen zien op een dag........

Ik wil graag het bovenstaande gedicht met jullie delen, het is in het Engels en dat blijft het mooiste maar ik zal het trachten te vertalen voor degenen die geen Engels kunnen lezen.

Aan degenen die ik liefheb en die mij liefhebben

Wanneer ik er niet meer ben, laat me los, laat me gaan,

Ik heb zoveel om te zien en te doen

Hou me niet vast in tranen,

Wees blij met de jaren die we hadden

Ik gaf je mijn liefde

Je kunt alleen maar raden

hoeveel geluk je mij gaf

Ik dank jullie voor de liefde die je met hebt laten zien

Today a painting that I've made for my mother.......it hangs above the couch and has almost the same colours.....I've made it also with the wet in wet technique. It's also a picture from a picture so not the best quality. I like this technique very much, it is always surprising......and you must let the control and need to perfection go.........sometimes I really need that.....

Vandaag een schilderij dat ik ooit voor mijn ouders heb gemaakt......het hangt boven de bank en heeft bijna dezelfde kleuren........ik heb het gemaakt in de nat in nat techniek. Het is ook weer een foto van een foto dus niet de beste kwaliteit. Ik hou van deze techniek, het is altijd weer verassend.......en het laat je de controle en behoefte aan perfectie loslaten...... some heb ik dat even nodig......

Aquarel- Birds

Today another of my old paintings, it's already gone so I did hace to take a pic from a photo, so not the best quality. The background I've made using the 'wet in wet' technique, my favourite technique in aquarel painting...it's always exciting, you never know exactly where it ends and what the result will be. The birds are drawn and painted with less water.

Vandaag een andere van mijn oude schilderijen. Ik heb 'm niet meer in mijn bezit dus moest een foto van een foto maken. Dus niet de beste kwaliteit. De achtergrond is gemaakt met de 'nat in nat' techniek.........mijn favouriete techniek in aquarel....het is altijd spannend, je weet nooit precies waar het eindigt en wat het resultaat zal zijn. De vogels zijn getekend en geschilderd met veel minder water.

I found two last drawings from a long time ago, the year 1989! I have edited them a bit...........The first one is if I recall well the only male I have drawn...... and the second one is woman in the 'Fall of her life'........I really love Fall as a season. Those lovely colours and the theme of 'letting go'..........Together with Spring when everything starts to grow , my favourite seasons.

ik vond toch nog twee tekeningen van een hele tijd geleden, het jaar 1989! Ik heb ze een beetje bewerkt.....De eerste is als ik het me goed herinner de enige man die ik getekend heb......en de tweede is een vrouw ' in de herfst' van haar leven........Ik hou van de herfst als seizoen. Die prachtige kleuren en het thema 'loslaten'..........Samen met de lente wanneer alles weer gaat groeien zijn het mijn favouriete seizoenen.

This one is the last of my ink/colour pencil drawings which I could still show you because I had a picture of it or a real piece.

I made this one in assignment for a friend of a friend. She told me some details like hobby's of this person and I made this.......

This person did play badminton and he had a sailing boat, love to play cards and his Zodiac sign was Leo. With the colours of his house I put all the ingredients together and mad this drawing.

I did alter the background of the drawing because I had to take a photo of a photo and it was not the best quality......so with a bit of editing on the pc......

Dit is de laatste van mijn inkt/kleurpotlood tekeningen die ik nog kan laten zien omdat ik er een foto van had.

Ik heb deze in opdracht gemaakt een hele tijd geleden voor een vriend van een vriendin. Ze vertelde me zijn hobby's en ik heb dit gemaakt..........

Deze persoon speelde badminton en had een zeilboot, speelde graag een potje kaarten en zijn sterreteken was Leeuw.  In combinatie met de kleuren van zijn huis deed ik alle ingredienten bij elkaar en maakte deze tekening.

Ik heb de achtergrond veranderd want het is een foto van een (oude en niet al te beste) foto......dus speelde ik een beetje met een bewerkings programma op de pc........

Another day in paradise......

Hello there,

Again one from the collection with ink pen and coloured pencils. I called it 'another day in Paradise'. And the idea of paradise always appeals to  me .............but I know I have to do it here.......for now

This painting is still in the house of an old friend for whom I promised to make a creation for her wall but it never came to that point......so this one is still there.

Vandaag weer een uit de collectie getekend met pen en kleurpotloden. Ik noem het ' nog een dag in het paradijs' maar in het Engels vind ik dat mooier klinken. En het idee van 'het paradijs' spreekt me altijd erg aan, maar ja ik weet dat hier wat te doen heb.........voor nu

Deze tekening is nog steeds in het huis van een oude vriendin die ik ooit een tekening had beloofd te zullen maken maar op de een of andere manier is er nooit iets van gekomen, dus deze hangt er nog in de plaats van.....

Today I'll show you one of the drawings I made a while ago in assignment. The lady on the painting is the lady whom I made it for and she had at that time those little 'love birds'. Again same technique as previous drawings.

The colors are cool in this drawing, in the previous one they were more vibrant and warm.

'Birds of Paradise

Hello there,

Today another one of my 'long time ago' made drawings, I called it 'Birds of Paradise'. i believe the flower in the drawing is called Bird of Paradise and those little birds are called Agapornis.The technique I've used is the same as in the previous posts, ink and colour pencils.

 

I enhanced the picture taken of the drawing in a photo program because the paper is old and a little bit discoloured. So I made the background disappear....

Vandaag een andere van mijn 'lang geleden' gemaakte tekeningen. Ik noem het 'Birds of Paradise', ik geloof dat de bloem in de tekening zo heet. De kleine vogels heten Agapornis. De techniek die ik gebruikt heb is dezelfde als van de vorige tekeningen, inkt en kleurpotlood.

Ik heb de foto van de tekening in een foto programma verbeterd omdat het papier nogal oud is en hier en daar wat verkleurd. Dus ik heb de achtergrond laten verdwijnen.......
